Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Minister's son to face charges says court

Ashish Misra, son of junior Home Minister Ajay Misra Teni, will face trial for allegedly running over farmers with his SUV in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri last year. A local court rejected Misra’s appeal to be dropped from the case and said that charges against him will be framed on December 6. Ashish Misra is a co-accused in connection with the killing of four farmers and a journalist at Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh on October 3 last year.
