In Kolkata, two men got married in a traditional ceremony on Sunday, setting off wishes and love from social media users.
In the pictures from the wedding, the gay couple appears happy surrounded by friends and family.
The couple can be seen taking vows and exchanging garlands or ’Varmala’ in a traditional ritual.
The venue even had a signage reading “Abhishek weds Chaitanya “ with the caricatures of two men saying “We do” .
One of the grooms' friend shared a heartfelt note about the experience, stating that what they witnessed was a wind of change and encouragement in the room.
Attendeees said even the guests from other ceremonies were intrigued by the wedding and wanted to take a sneak-peek into the ceremony.
