Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Jun 11 (PTI) As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government completes 11 years in power, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has launched a scathing criticism, accusing the Prime Minister of making 33 mistakes during his tenure.
Kharge expressed his disbelief at the level of untruthfulness he attributes to Modi, claiming that he had never encountered a Prime Minister who, in his words, "lies so much," "traps" the populace, and misleads the youth.
"In these 11 years, 33 mistakes have been committed. You are well aware, and I have repeatedly addressed this in parliament — I've never observed a Prime Minister who deceives as frequently, commits numerous errors, manipulates people, misguides the youth, ensnares the poor, and secures votes in this manner. I've had 55 years in power and 65 years in politics, and there's been nobody like him," Kharge remarked.
Addressing reporters, Kharge criticized the Prime Minister further, accusing him of making false promises and failing to deliver on them. Upon being questioned, the Prime Minister purportedly fails to provide adequate responses.
"Be it demonetisation, employment generation, or Minimum Support Price (MSP), numerous such issues exist. He's never acknowledged misrepresenting the facts or owning up to mistakes, nor has he ever offered an apology. He continues to make unverified claims, and it's been 11 years now," Kharge declared.
It's noteworthy that Prime Minister Modi was sworn in for a third term on June 9, 2024. This marks the first anniversary of the Modi government's third term and the 11th year in total since they first assumed office.
