Punjab police have launched a 'massive state-wide cordon and search operations' in the state to nab radical preacher and Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh.
78 supporters of Amritpal were arrested on Saturday and several were detained for questioning after Amritpal gave the police a slip and escaped their dragnet when his cavalcade was intercepted in Jalandhar district.
Amritpal and his supporters are accused of spreading communal tension in the state.
