Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 2 (PTI) A tragic incident unfolded in Kerala when a 65-year-old man died after his son allegedly pushed him during a late-night altercation at their residence, according to police reports on Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Ravindran from Vanchikkuzhi in Kuttichal, was attempting to intervene in a dispute when his son, Nishad, 35, reportedly shoved him to the ground amidst an argument with his wife and mother. Ravindran, who had a pre-existing heart condition, collapsed following the incident and was promptly taken to a hospital, where he succumbed around midnight.

Police have since taken Nishad into custody. The authorities believe the incident stemmed from a domestic disagreement.
