Thrissur (Kerala), Jun 13 (PTI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has strongly criticized Israel, labeling it as a "longtime global thug" that acts with impunity due to its backing from the United States.

The Chief Minister's remarks came in response to questions from reporters regarding recent reports of Israeli airstrikes in Iran, which targeted key locations associated with the country's nuclear program and military installations.

Vijayan emphasized that Israel's actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for international norms and standards of decency.

He asserted that Israel's confidence in acting however it wishes stems from its alliance with the US.

Expressing his disapproval of the military strikes on Iran, Vijayan argued that such actions threaten global peace and stability.

"Those committed to maintaining world peace must stand united in opposing and condemning such unwarranted acts," he urged.
