Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal moved a fresh plea in the Delhi High Court on Thursday, seeking protection from any coercive action against him in the liquor policy probe.

A division bench led by Justice Suresh Kumar Kait will hear the matter.

The Enforcement Directorate has issued nine summons to him in a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped excise policy of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the national capital.

During the hearing in his matter in the Delhi HC on Wednesday, Kejriwal's lawyers stated that they had apprehension that ED would arrest him when he appeared for questioning. They said the Delhi Chief Minister was ready to appear before the investigative agency if he was given protection.
