Karnataka police has arrested two people for the murder of former Intelligence Bureau officer in Mysuru, cops said.

Ex-intelligence officer RK Kulkarni was taking a walk at Manasagangotri campus of Mysuru university on November 4 when a car hit from front. The police added that the vehicle did not have a number plate.

The two arrested men were identified as Manu, Kulkarni's neighbour's son and Manu's friend, Varun.

CCTV footage of the incident showed a speeding car driving towards 82-year-old Kulkarni, hitting him before fleeing from the spot.

Following his death, the former officer's family accused one of their neighbours, Madappa, and his son, in their police complaint. The Kulkarni family and Madappa often disagreed over the construction of a building.
