Karnataka man hacked to death on busy street to exact revenge: police

A 26-year-old man was killed in broad daylight by at least five men in Karnataka's Bidar district.

Captured on CCTV, the February 28 incident shows four to five men attacking Anand Phule using swords and other weapons on a busy street with the bystanders looking on.

Police said the motive behind the murder was revenge over a previous enmity.

The victim succumbed to injuries, while his friend who was also injured in the attack has been hospitalized. Meanwhile, all accused have been identified and search is on to locate them, police said.
