A Hindutva leader in Karnataka's Kolar has been booked for allegedly making derogatory comments about Muslim and their holy book Quran.

The action against Keshav Murthy, who is the state convener of an outfit called Hindu Jagaran Vedike, and others came after a complaint was filed by a member of a Muslim group.

Murthy allegedly made the remark during a speech on July 1 — when some Hindu activists were protesting the killing of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
