Bengaluru, June 24 (PTI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Tuesday.
According to a statement from his office, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, currently visiting Delhi, will have an audience with the President at 11:20 am, followed by a meeting with the Union Finance Minister at 4:50 pm.
On Monday, Siddaramaiah mentioned that he intends to discuss pending bills with the President.
Addressing reporters in Raichur, he revealed his efforts to secure appointments with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister regarding an additional memorandum he recently submitted to the 16th Finance Commission.
The pending bills before the President include the 'Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Bill, 2025.' This bill proposes reserving 4 percent of contracts in civil works valued up to Rs 2 crore and goods/services contracts up to Rs 1 crore for Muslims.
