Ranchi, May 28 (PTI): In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has transferred 48 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including the senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police (SPs) of 14 districts.
The Home, Prison, and Disaster Management Department issued an official notification on Tuesday evening detailing the changes.
Amol V Homkar, previously holding the position of Inspector General (IG) Operations, has been appointed IG Railways. Additional Director General (ADG) Priya Dubey has been assigned the additional role of ADG Modernisation cum Training.
Prabhat Kumar, previously IG of the Special Branch, will now also oversee the role of IG JAP.
Tadasha Mishra, who was ADG Railways, has been transferred to the position of Special Secretary in the Home Prison and Disaster Management Department. Meanwhile, ADG Operations Sanjay Anandrao Latkar takes over as ADG Railways.
Additionally, the reshuffle includes changes in the positions of senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police in districts such as Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Pakur, Garhwa, Lohardaga, Simdega, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Godda, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa, Gumla, Khunti, Bokaro, and Chatra.
The government has also announced transfers within Ranchi's police structure, affecting the SP City, SP Rural, and Dhanbad's SP City.
On the previous day, Monday, the government initiated the appointment of new deputy commissioners in 20 districts across the state.
