ISRO scientist N Valarmathi, who voiced rocket launch countdowns, passes away

After a few weeks filled with amazing successes and world records, grim news has hit India's space agency.

ISRO scientist N Valarmathi, who voiced many of the agency's rocket launch countdowns, passed away on September 2, as per reports.

She suffered a heart attack while in Chennai, according to news outlet Wion.

Her last rocket launch countdown was the Chandrayaan-3 lift-off on July 14.
