'Intruder with gun from Pakistan' shot dead in Punjab's Gurdaspur, says BSF

An alleged intruder from Pakistan was shot dead in Punjab on 3 January 2023.

The Border Security Force said that a man with a gun was spotted at around 8:30 am in the Gurdaspur sector. The alleged intruder was approaching the border fence from the Pakistani side.

BSF said that its personnel challenged and "neutralised" the threat. The border force also undertook an extensive search of the area.
