16-year-old Asian Para Games gold medalist Sheetal Devi received the Arjuna Award from President Droupadi Murmu on January 9.

The specially-abled athlete, who does not have arms, received much praise on social media.

However, one of the internet users shared an insensitive joke about Sheetal Devi receiving the award, leaving social media users outraged.

The social media user @dudeitsokay shared the picture of Sheetal Devi and wrote, 'kitni arrogant hai, President award de rahi aur yeh le nahi rahi.' (She is so arrogant, President is giving her award and she is not receiving it)

As internet users came across this comment, they reacted by saying that this joke was not at all funny. Others reacted to it by saying that 'just because you have a mobile phone, an internet connection and a social media account doesn't mean that you can troll anyone.'
