Indore, Jun 5 (PTI) Seven additional individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, increasing the count of active cases to 17, according to a local health official on Thursday.
Among the newly infected are three women and four men.
Three of these individuals have recently traveled to Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Kerala, said district epidemiologist Anshul Mishra.
“At present, the district has a total of 17 COVID-19 patients,” the official informed.
“None of these individuals are experiencing severe symptoms.
They are all undergoing treatment in home isolation.
Since the beginning of the year on January 1, Indore has reported 33 COVID-19 cases.
This count includes the death of a 74-year-old woman,” Mishra mentioned.
The elderly woman, who succumbed to the illness in April, was already dealing with severe kidney issues, the official added.
