IndiGo's Amritsar-Ahmedabad flight entered Pakistan airspace temporarily due to bad weather: report

An IndiGo flight from Amritsar to Ahmedabad strayed into Pakistani airspace for approximately half an hour on Saturday.

According to a report by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, the incident took place at around 7:30 pm due to bad weather conditions with the plane going up to Gujranwala, close to Lahore before eventually returning to India at 8:01 pm.

There has been no immediate comment from the airline on the incident.

A senior official of the Civil Aviation Authority, Pakistan said that it was not unusual as it was 'internationally allowed' in bad weather conditions, the report added.
