Bomb Threat Causes Emergency Landing for Indigo Flight at Nagpur

Kochi, Jun 17 (PTI): On Tuesday, a bomb threat was reported concerning an Indigo flight that had arrived from Muscat and was en route to Delhi, resulting in an emergency landing at Nagpur airport for inspection purposes, as stated by the Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL).

The alert was received via the official email of CIAL, regarding the Indigo flight that departed for Delhi with 157 passengers and six crew members at 9:31 am.

Following the notification, a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) convened and determined that the threat was "specific," according to CIAL.

"The information was swiftly relayed to the relevant authorities, after which the flight conducted an emergency landing at Nagpur airport, where it is currently undergoing inspection.

"Upon completion of the security checks, the aircraft is scheduled to continue its flight to Delhi," the statement said.
