In response to a significant escalation by Pakistan, which attempted missile strikes in Jammu and Kashmir and deployed drone strikes in various parts of India, including Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, the Indian Navy has initiated a retaliatory operation, sources report.

Early Friday morning, reports surfaced indicating that targeted operations had commenced in the Arabian Sea, focusing on multiple targets within Pakistan.

The escalation began on Thursday when loud explosions were reported in Jammu. It was subsequently revealed that Pakistan had launched missiles at several locations in Jammu and Kashmir, including RS Pura, Arnia, Samba, and Hiranagar. All missiles were successfully intercepted by India's air defence systems.

In anticipation of further threats, blackouts were enforced in several cities, including Chandigarh, Mohali, and Srinagar, as a precautionary measure. Military installations in Jammu and Pathankot have been placed on high alert.
