India has overtaken China to become the most populous nation in the world, according to a United Nations report published on April 19, 2023.
Data from the United Nations Population Fund claimed that India's population is higher than China's by 29 lakhs.
The UNFPA reportedly said that India's population is 142.86 crore, while China's is 142.57 crore.
