India-Canada standoff: Foreign Minister Jaishankar briefs PM Modi

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the ongoing diplomatic standoff with Canada over the murder of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. 

Jaishankar met the prime minister in the Parliament to apprise him of the situation. 

On September 18, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that there are 'credible allegations' that India may be linked to the killing of Nijjar in June.
