The Central IAS Association has expressed 'deep dismay' at the release of ex-MP Anand Mohan Singh who was convicted for killing former district magistrate of Gopalganj G Krishnaiah.

Singh had been sentenced to life imprisonment but will now be released after serving 15 years following Bihar government's decision allowing remission of jail term for those convicted of murdering a public servant on duty.

The IAS association said that Singh's release tantamounts to denial of justice. It added that 'such dilution leads to impunity, erosion of morale of public servants, undermines public oder and makes a mockery of administration of justice.'
