Gangster Atiq Ahmed blamed himself for the death of his son Asad in a police encounter on Thursday.
Atiq Ahmed, while being taken to a jail in Prayagraj, said he was responsible for his son's death and requested that he be allowed to take part in his last rites.
Asad was killed by the special task force of Uttar Pradesh's police in Jhansi just as his father Atiq Ahmed was being taken to a court in Prayagraj for a hearing in the Umesh Pal murder case.
