The Supreme Court on November 7 rapped the Delhi government over its bid to curb air pollution through 'odd-even' rule.

Justice SK Kaul asked the Delhi government if the 'odd-even' scheme has ever succeeded. The judge said it is all optics.

The observation comes after the Delhi government said the scheme would be implemented from November 13 to 20.

However, following the apex court's harsh comment, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said his government will weigh the court's suggestions while finalising the scheme.

"We will incorporate the orders and suggestions of the Supreme Court and accordingly plan the odd-even scheme," Rai said.
