The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) held a meeting today to pick a new temporary leadership team with Bhupinder Singh Assandh being chosen as the president without opposition, a report by The Tribune said.

Assandh disclosed that a budget meeting was scheduled for today but members insisted on electing a new executive body due to dissatisfaction with him and Ramnik Singh Mann, who held officiating charges as president and general secretary, respectively. Responding to the requests, the existing executive body was dissolved, and a new one was elected. While Bhupinder Singh's election was uncontested, other members were also chosen unanimously.

Sudarshan Singh Sehgal is the new senior vice-president, Ravinder Kaur Ajrana is the junior vice-president, Sukhwinder Singh is the general secretary, and Gulab Singh is the joint secretary. Six others were also chosen for the executive body.
