Haryana sees remarkable decline in poverty rate: Haryana CM Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the state has registered significant reductions poverty rate, citing NITI Aayog data.

Highlighting his government's efforts, Khattar in the state assembly said, when the BJP came to power in 2014, the poverty rate stood at 11.88%. Through concerted efforts, by 2019-20, it dropped to 7.07%, marking a reduction of over 4%.

This decline lifted 14,29,341 individuals in Haryana above the poverty line.
