Rohtak Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma has lodged a complaint against Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Khemka for alleged criticism of the state government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X (formerly Twitter) during the model code of conduct, a report by the Tribune said.

According to the report, Verma's complaint to the Chief Secretary was filed on April 26. The complaint accuses Khemka of questioning the Prime Minister's intentions in a tweet regarding the Vadra-DLF deal probe by the Dhingra Commission.

It further said that Khemka's tweet, posted on April 6, raised concerns about the slow progress of the investigation and the Prime Minister's commitment to the issue. Verma has emphasized the timing of the tweet amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, stating that it could incite controversy and violate the model code of conduct.
