Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has introduced the One Time Settlement-2023 (OTS) Scheme, responding to the long-standing demands of the state's traders for resolution of pending tax payments predating the GST era.

This initiative, launched through the Excise and Taxation Department, offers businesses a window from January 1 to March 30, 2024, to settle their pre-GST tax liabilities.

The scheme categorizes taxes into four groups and offers exemptions from interest and penalties on cases under seven tax acts that were in place before the GST.

Moreover, CM Manohar Lal has announced the establishment of a GST Training Institute in partnership with HIPA, Gurugram.

This announcement came during the OTS-2023 inauguration in Gurugram on Sunday, where the Chief Minister extended New Year greetings to the state. The programme was also addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, who is in charge of the Excise and Taxation Department.
