Newly appointed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini won the floor test in the Haryana Assembly on Wednesday.

Saini was sworn in as the chief minister on Tuesday, along with the new state Cabinet, after former CM Manohar Lal Khattar's Cabinet resigned.

The major changes in the Haryana government was triggered by the ruling BJP's split with ally Jannayak Janta Party over seat-sharing in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The new Haryana government has been formed with the backing of independent MLAs.
