Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajkot District President Tejas Gajipara has called for immediate action following the assault of a 6-year-old girl in Atkot village of Jasdan taluka.

In a video statement, he appealed to the government to ensure justice for the victim’s family.

Terming the incident “an unforgivable crime against a young girl from a labour-class family,” Gajipara urged authorities to award the strictest possible punishment to the arrested accused, so that such crimes do not recur in Gujarat or elsewhere in the country.

He emphasized that incidents affecting vulnerable families often go unreported, and in this case, the government must guarantee swift justice and provide necessary support to the family. Gajipara added that he intends to meet the family personally to express solidarity.
