Gangster Atiq Ahmed have been found guilty of kidnapping Umesh Pal, a murder witness who was recently killed, in 2006 by a court in Prayagraj. Umesh Pal had accused Ahmed of kidnapping him after he refused to withdraw as witness in the murder case of BSP MLA Raju Pal. Ahmed is the prime accused in the 2005 case. Umesh Pal was shot dead outside his residence in Prayagraj on February 24, 2023. Atiq Ahmed has also been accused of being involved in his murder.
