Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has joined Andhra Pradesh's ruling party, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).

In a ceremony attended by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy CM Narayan Swamy, and YSRCP MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy in Vijayawada, Rayudu officially became part of Andhra Pradesh's political landscape.

Having retired from cricket in 2023, the 37-year-old, a native of Andhra Pradesh, had announced his decision to join politics earlier this year in June.
