First-time ever: Indian Army drops war-fighting loads from IAF's AN 32 plane

Crossing a major milestone, the Indian Army conducted airdropping of war-fighting loads using an Indian Air Force plane.

The Northern Command of the Indian Army announced the first-ever airdrop by AN 32 aircraft on May 29, 2023.

The war-fighting loads were dropped in support of mechanised forces on the western borders.

The Army said that it was a step closer to theaterisation, and the quest for integration and synergy.
