First batch of Indian military crew leaves Maldives: reports

The first batch of Indian military personnel has left from Maldives, the Indian Express reported quoting local media. The crew manning a helicopter gifted by India to Maldives left after handing over the operations to an Indian civilian crew. 

The local media reported that the 25 Indian soldiers who were stationed in Addu city are now back in India. 

Maldives president Mohamed Muizzu has demanded that no Indian soldiers, in uniform or in civilian clothes, should remain in the island nation after May 10.
