Cases have been filed against the director of the film 'Kaali' by Delhi and Uttar Pradesh Police after complaints that the film's poster hurts religious sentiments.

The poster depicts Hindu goddess Kaali smoking and holding a pride flag.

Director Leena Manimekalai has been accused of criminal conspiracy, offence in place of worship, deliberately hurting religious sentiments, and intention to provoke breach of peace in the FIRs filed against her.
