Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, August 18 (PTI): In a tragic accident on Monday morning, a 28-year-old man lost his life and another individual was severely injured after their motorcycle collided with a tree in a village, a police official reported.
The incident occurred close to Naudad village within the jurisdiction of Jagdishpur police station in Amethi district.
Station House Officer Dhirendra Yadav stated that the individuals involved in the tragic accident have been identified as Abdullah and Alam, both residents of Mumbai.
The duo embarked on a journey from Mumbai to Siddharthanagar in Uttar Pradesh on a motorcycle when they lost control near Naudad village and crashed into a peepal tree by the roadside.
Abdullah, who was riding the motorcycle, succumbed to his injuries instantly. While Alam, the pillion rider, has been hospitalized with serious injuries at the community health center in Jagdishpur.
Yadav further mentioned that the deceased's body has been dispatched for a post-mortem examination and that Abdullah's family has been notified of the tragic incident.
