Suspended TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate or ED on March 30 in connection with a land-grabbing case.
Shahjahan was arrested after undergoing interrogation in Basirhat jail. He will now be presented before a special court.
Shahjahan was first arrested in February for allegedly orchestrating the attack on ED and CAPF teams on January 5.
He was first handed over to the Bengal CID after it took over the investigation, and then the CBI took custody of him following the Calcutta High Court's order.
