A major power outage at Delhi airport briefly disrupted boarding and check-in services on the 17th of June.

Though it is unknown what caused the power cut, several frustrated passengers took to social media X, saying that there had been no electricity at Terminal 3 for more than half an hour, leading to congestion and chaos.

Reuters news agency claimed that power cut lasted for more than seven minutes and that all operations were resumed.

Several media reports further stated that the outage was due to a fault in the power grid at the airport, but an official confirmation is awaited.

Delhi airport has three airport terminals, of which T3 is used for both domestic and international operations.
