A day before bomb threats sent the schools in Delhi and NCR region into a panic mode, similar threats were received by airports in several states and hospitals in the national capital.

An alert was sounded after airports in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Nagpur, Goar, and Bhopal received emails, threatening to blow up the place. A bomb disposal squad was dispatched promptly, but they didn't find anything objectionable.

Similarly, an email claiming that a bomb had been plated at Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya in Shahdra caused panic and disruption.

Besides, the same threatening email was sent to 50 other hospitals in Delhi, according to the Times of India outlet.

"These emails were received in several schools. Some hospitals also received these emails yesterday. Thorough checking is going on. Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad and fire tenders are present here...Even if it is a hoax call, we cannot take chances. We will conduct an investigation," Ravinder Yadav, Special CP, Delhi Police Crime Branch, told ANI news agency.
