New Delhi, Sep 5 (PTI) - Weather forecasts suggest that Delhi will likely experience a generally cloudy sky with moderate rainfall on Friday, according to the meteorological department.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius, which is 1.9 degrees below the normal. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 33 degrees Celsius.
As of 8.30 am, the relative humidity level was at 87 percent.
IMD's observations from 8.30 am indicated that rainfall was recorded in various parts of the national capital over the past 24 hours. Safdarjung registered 7.6 mm of rain, Palam 13.3 mm, Lodi Road 3.2 mm, and Ridge 5.2 mm, while Aya Nagar reported no rainfall.
The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 67 at 8 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), placing it in the satisfactory category.
The CPCB classifies AQI from 0 to 50 as "good", from 51 to 100 as "satisfactory", from 101 to 200 as "moderate", from 201 to 300 as "poor", from 301 to 400 as "very poor", and from 401 to 500 as "severe".
