New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) - On Friday morning, essential metro services on the Yellow Line's stretch from Vishwavidyalaya to Central Secretariat experienced significant disruptions, impacting a considerable number of commuters during peak office and school hours.

Officials reported that while trains between Vishwavidyalaya and Central Secretariat were delayed, the rest of the metro network continued to operate normally.

Commuters faced severe delays, with the normally brief journey from Vishwavidyalaya to GTB Nagar extending to nearly 50 minutes due to the disruption.

Many passengers expressed their frustration as they struggled to reach their destinations, including workplaces and schools, on time.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) indicated that services were gradually returning to normal and that efforts were actively being made to restore smooth operations on the disrupted section.
