With Delhi Assembly elections around the corner, Chief Minister Atishi has accused the BJP of “hooliganism” and alleged that the Election Commission and Delhi Police are shielding saffron party workers while targeting AAP leaders.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the BJP, alleging that the party is indulging in hooliganism ahead of the February 5 Assembly elections, while Delhi Police and the Election Commission (EC) turn a blind eye to its actions.

  • Atishi, who is contesting from Kalkaji, accused BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri and his family members of creating unrest in the constituency and claimed no action was taken against them.
  • Instead, she was booked for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) after Delhi Police alleged she and her supporters blocked roads and obstructed officers on duty.
  • Taking to social media, Atishi slammed the EC’s alleged bias, stating, “BJP workers are being protected while cases are filed against AAP leaders raising complaints.

The Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 5, with results to be announced on February 8.
