New Delhi, Oct 9 (PTI) — On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the importance of establishing the "reliability of Indian brands" to ensure their global usage, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'swadeshi' vision.

Speaking at the ninth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, held at the Yashobhoomi convention centre, she emphasized the necessity for Indians to contribute to every technological advancement that propels the nation forward.

"When the Prime Minister advocates for 'Vocal for Local' and 'swadeshi,' he refers not only to small enterprises but also to industries such as defence, technology, healthcare, and education, among others," Gupta stated.

She highlighted the Prime Minister's vision for India to not only cater to domestic needs but also be capable of supplying globally.

"While we currently use many foreign brands, it is essential to build the trustworthiness of Indian brands so that they are embraced worldwide," she added.
