New Delhi, Jun 25 (PTI) A businessman from Delhi was reportedly robbed of Rs 30 lakh by unknown individuals at his home in the Vasant Kunj area of southwest Delhi, according to an official report on Wednesday. The businessman is involved in the distribution of city gas in the region, the official added. Police reported that the incident took place on June 23 when a group of three to four unidentified men forcibly entered the home of Karan Chopra and stole the cash. "We received a call about the robbery at the Vasant Kunj South police station, prompting the dispatch of several teams to the scene," an officer said. Chopra informed the police that the intruders barged into his home and made off with around Rs 30 lakh. A case has been registered under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 309(4) for robbery, 331(6) for house trespass, and 351(2) for criminal intimidation, the officer stated. The police are examining CCTV footage, and teams have been tasked with gathering local intelligence.
