Covid: Indian hospitals to have mock drill to simulate emergency situation; Health Minister to attend

With the government stepping up preparedness to deal with a possible increase in Covid infections, hospitals across the country are set to conduct mock drills on 27 December 2022.

The drills will simulate an emergency situation for dealing with Covid cases, according to sources quoted by news agency ANI. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will also visit a government hospital to observe the mock drill.

The news came on the day that Mandaviya will be holding a meeting with health ministers of states and Union Territories to discuss the Covid situation in the country, and abroad.
