Amid a surge in Covid-19 cases, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on December 28 said that the government has ramped up testing.
The AAP leader said that as many as 636 tests were conducted on December 27.
He further said that the only patient infected with Covid-19's JN.1 sub-variant in the national capital has been discharged from the hospital after recovery and is healthy now.
The minister said that there are currently no cases of JN.1 in Delhi and that the government has ordered genome sequencing of all positive cases to ascertain if they carry new variant.
Bharadwaj advised people to avoid crowded places if they are sick.
