Muzaffarnagar (UP), July 1 (PTI) In a tragic incident, a couple lost their lives when a speeding truck collided with their motorcycle in the Budhana area, police reported on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Monday night as Shamshad, aged 50, and his wife Khushnoda, aged 48, both residents of Budhana, were riding home on a motorcycle after purchasing medicines. A speeding truck hit their bike, according to Budhana Station House Officer Anand Dev Mishra.
The truck driver fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle.
A formal case has been registered, and authorities are actively working to locate the accused driver, the SHO stated.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, Mishra added.
