A deadly cloudburst hit Solan in Himachal Pradesh on the morning of August 14.
At least seven persons died after the cloudburst occurred in Jadon village, as per initial reports. Two houses and a cowshed were also washed away.
All educational institutes in Himachal have been shut down for the day due to heavy rainfall.
The Indian Meteorological Department on August 13 issued a heavy rainfall alert for parts of the hill state.
