Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of government schemes through a video conference with district collectors from the Mahanadi Bhawan Secretariat in Nava Raipur.
During the meeting, he conducted a detailed assessment of development projects across all districts and issued key instructions to officials.
Taking a tough stand on the rising number of pending revenue cases, the Chief Minister directed all collectors to ensure timely resolution. He said, “The era of repeated hearings is over— all revenue cases must be resolved within the time frame fixed by the government.”
While reviewing district-wise progress, Sai sought detailed updates on matters related to mutation, undisputed and disputed partitions, record corrections, error rectification, land acquisition, demarcation, and diversion cases.
He stressed that unnecessary harassment of beneficiaries must end. “Repeated hearings not only cause financial loss to the public, but also waste their time and effort. This reduces people’s trust in the government system. Officials must reduce hearings and ensure time-bound resolution of cases,” he asserted.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Subodh Kumar Singh, instructed that all revenue cases be registered on the e-court platform to simplify monitoring and tracking. He also directed officials to pay special attention to record correction and error rectification, launching a campaign at the tehsil level through patwaris to streamline land records.
Emphasizing infrastructure development, the Chief Minister said, “For the rapid and uninterrupted progress of national highways and the Bharatmala project, land acquisition is essential.” He instructed collectors to expedite pending cases of land acquisition and compensation distribution, especially for road, rail, and mobile tower projects in Bastar’s Narayanpur, Dantewada, Sukma, and Bijapur districts.
Sai underlined that transparency and accountability in revenue administration were now top priorities. “A responsible system of governance is possible only when justice is delivered to people on time. Every officer must ensure that cases are resolved without delay and in a fair manner,” he said.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to accelerate farmer registration and complete the process at the earliest. He further stressed the importance of completing the digital crop survey within the stipulated time.
Preparations for the state’s Rajat Mahotsav— marking 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s formation— were also reviewed. Beginning on August 15, the celebrations will continue for 25 weeks, showcasing the state’s development journey. Sai instructed collectors to organize events at the district level and make the silver jubilee a festival of public participation, with details uploaded on the official portal and publicity campaigns intensified.
Highlighting public service initiatives, he said, “From September 17 to October 2, the state will observe ‘Seva Pakwada’ as part of the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav. During this period, programs such as blood donation camps, health camps, and revenue camps will be organized. This occasion must be linked to every citizen of the state to further strengthen public outreach.”
The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, CM’s Secretaries Rahul Bhagat and P. Dayanand, Finance Secretary Mukesh Bansal, PCCF Sunil Mishra, PWD Secretary Kamalpreet Singh, Revenue Secretary Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Culture Department MD Vivek Acharya, along with other departmental secretaries, commissioners, and directors.
