Days ahead of Chandrayaan 3's planned landing on the Moon's surface, India's space agency on August 10 released photographs of the Earth and Moon taken by the spacecraft.

ISRO published a high-resolution image of the Moon taken by the Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera on August 6. It showed the various craters on the Earth's natural satellite in sharp relief.

An image of clouds over an ocean on Earth taken by the Lander Imager Camera on July 14 was also released.
